Until NFL opening weekend, there were still doubts as to whether the adidas Yeezy cleat was even a real shoe – but adidas have just taken to Twitter announce that, yes, they are in fact happening.
Their appearance in recent NFL games suggested that they might be player exclusives, though adidas have just released official images of 350 and 750 Boosts that will be available for general release. Photos show a ‘Turtle Dove’ 350 and a light cream 750 Boost. Apart from the obvious upgrade, both have been reworked for the field – the 350 with Sprintskin, and the 750 with a Quickframe plate.
As far as cleats go, these are some of the most compelling yet – and we’re sure they’ll be appropriated for other types of football in a heartbeat. ‘Coming soon’ is the only release info to come from adidas so far, but we’ll let you know as soon as they let on any more.
