The Air Jordan 15 is a contentious silhouette in the sneaker world. Sourcing influence from both the X-15 rocket plane and fashion label Prada, the AJ15 should have been a sure-fire hit when it arrived in 1999. While the borrowed design cues were certainly evident, not everybody was a fan of it’s ‘elf boot’ aesthetic. Still, the shoe is not without its die-hard fans – the very same who were elated to see the model make a return in the OG ‘Stealth‘ colourway earlier this year.
Making the most of its unexpected return to the spotlight, Jordan Brand now bring us another colourway from the Air Jordan 15’s original release. The AJ15 ‘Obsidian’ pairs sleek blue with contrast crisp white, highlighting its angular, segmented design. Love it or hate it, with this make-up having never before been retroed, you can be sure it won’t stick around on shelves long.
The Air Jordan 15 ‘Obsidian’ will be available March 4 through NDC and select Jordan Brand stockists.
