Nike continue to enjoy a beautiful union with Liberty of London, and here we see the fruits of their labour that are ripe to drop for summer. The whole collection centres around Liberty’s ‘Merlin’ print, which was designed way back in 1972 for a silk scarf. Bright circles and squares abound, forging a look that is reminiscent of those cartoony African prints that Western folks love perhaps even more than the creators do. Nike applies the look to clean white leather with slabs of black – a very wise move indeed, it looks dope! The Nike Air Rift, Air Max Thea, Tennis Classic Ultra Leather, Zenji, Air Max 90 Ultra Essential and Classic Cortez are the lucky models to get born in the design, and will be available on May 4 (just the Rift) and May 15.
