After a long campaign that dashed hopes and realised dreams, the amount raised by the Nike Mag has been announced. In a tweet that came from the Michael J. Fox Foundation it was revealed that a whopping 6.75 million USD was raised through The Draw and two auctions alone.

That’s more than a million clear of the amount raised in the 2011 auctions – and was achieved with under ten percent of the product. Don’t forget that the New York auction is still to come. As part of the Michael J. Fox benefit gala it will be a star studded affair, and is likely to amass the most bank yet. Furthermore, the final amount raised is going to be doubled – meaning the Nike Mag is poised to put some 15 million USD towards Parkinson’s research.
Congratulations to everyone who donated, you’ve done a good thing.
For those who missed out on their own pair, you can still see how the Nike Mag looks on-foot here.
